Gulf Cooperation Council condemns Israeli crimes in Jenin

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Mohammad Al-Budaiwi, today condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, which led to the death of six Palestinians and the injury of dozens.

Al-Budaiwi, in a statement, called on the international community to urgently act to stop the Israeli aggression, stressing they are a flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions regarding the Palestinian issue.

He stressed the importance of providing the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and supporting regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East.

Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the position of the GCC countries towards the Palestinian issue being the top issue for Arabs and Muslims, and support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs today condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ assault on Jenin refugee camp which led to the killing of six Palestinians and the injury of others.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s total rejection of the serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces, expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Palestine and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
