Holy month of Ramadan to begin on Thursday

Several Arab and Islamic countries announced that Thursday is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

And the Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian lands announced that the sighting of the crescent of the month of Ramadan has not been proven, and that Thursday is the first day of the holy month.

And the official Saudi news channel reported that the crescent of the month of Ramadan could not be seen in a number of observatories in the Kingdom, and Thursday will be the first day of the holy month.

A member of the Preliminary Authority in the office of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Hojjat al-Islam Ali Reza, stated that Thursday is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan in Iran.

The Turkish Religious Endowment announced the date of Ramadan 2023 in Turkey, which falls on Thursday, March 23, and will continue until April 21.

The Syrian Fatwa Council declared Thursday the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

In Iraq, the Sunni Endowment and the Fiqh Council in Iraq announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, is the completion of the month of Sha`ban, and that the day after tomorrow, Thursday, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Yemeni Ministry of Endowments also announced that the sighting of the crescent has not been proven, and that Wednesday is the completion of the month of Sha`ban. The Islamic Fiqh Academy in Sudan stated that Thursday is the first day of Ramadan.

And the main committee to survey the crescents at the Omani Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs announced that Thursday is the first day of Ramadan in the Sultanate, and that Wednesday is the completion of the month of Sha’ban.

The Libyan endowments also announced the date of the first days of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that it falls on Thursday.
