An Israeli occupation airstrike Thursday evening killed two more people in the Shejaiya neighborhood, east of the city of Gaza, taking the total death toll to 28 since Tuesday.
Palestinian medical sources from al-Shifa Hospital confirming that the a deadly raid struck a residential house in the neighborhood, killing two people.
The sources added that the bodies of the slain people were brought to Al-Shefa medical complex.
Earlier this evening, an Israeli occupation airstrike killed a Palestinian, identified as a member of the Abu Daqqa family, and wounded four members of the family, including his wife, who sustained serious injuries, when a fighter jet shelled their house in Bani Sahla town, east of Khan Younes city, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli occupation has launched airstrikes against the besieged Gaza Strip for the third consecutive day, resulting in the killing of 28 Palestinians, including women and children, and wounding 86 others, including serious injuries.
This rises the total death toll of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli occupation army and settlers since the start of 2023 to 143 in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 26 children and six women.
Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) condemned the ban imposed by the Israeli occupation forces, for the second consecutive day, on the entry of foreign press crews into the Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun land crossing to cover the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
PJS said in a statement issued this evening that the occupation’s continued ban on the entry of foreign press crews into the Gaza Strip is a miserable Israeli attempt to obscure the image and cover up the continuous crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people, which so far led to the killing of more than twenty people, the wounding of dozens, including women and children, and the bombardment and terrorization of safe homes.
It called on international human rights and humanitarian organizations to move quickly and urgently to stop the Israeli aggression against Palestinians and to condemn the systematic Israeli practices, including preventing journalists from entering the Gaza Strip and restricting freedom of journalistic work as well as the right of journalists to move and travel.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained 23 Palestinians from several areas in the occupied West Bank, according to sources.
In Nablus, Israeli occupation soldiers detain seven Palestinians, while in Tubas, the soldiers detained two.
Israeli forces detained four from Tulkarm, four from Hebron and two from Bethlehem.
Moreover, the soldiers detained one from Jerusalem, and three more from Ramallah.
